Over the years, as Pastor Lau Man Ho came to the United States to preach, he saw the urgent need for gospel recovery ministry among Chinese communities in America. In June 2004, he sent Preacher Yao Hong Ji and his family to San Jose to begin Operation Dawn's gospel recovery ministry. By God's leading, Operation Dawn USA rented a place in South San Jose and named it House of Dawn. In its early years, the ministry passed state inspection and received the relevant permission required at that time; today, Operation Dawn USA is clearly positioned as a Christian residential gospel recovery and discipleship ministry.
